Casual Race for Life

We know our staff do not shy away from a challenge at work, and outside of work they are just as motivated - especially when is it for a great cause. Whatever their motivation, staff who are this committed make us very humble and this time it is our Contracts Administrator, Chris - again!

In July 2020, Chris ticked off one of her bucket list items, by parachuting out of a plane and raised over £500 for St Peter’s Hospice. Although a 3 mile charity run isn’t one of her bucket list item, on this occasion, it still means a lot to Chris, personally. So, on 24th of July, she will be taking part in Cancer Research’s Race for Life.

Both of Chris’ late Father and late Mother-in-law battled cancer, and with 1 in 2 people developing some form of cancer in their lifetime, Chris and her 5 friends decided to get together, raise awareness and raise money by taking on this challenge.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further. Help Cancer Research UK improve results even faster.
